AEP Alert

Message from the Chairperson

M. Eileen Dougherty, CTFA, CFP®, AEP®, ChFC®
Hawthorn - PNC Family Wealth
Philadelphia
, PA

It's baseball season again! As Chair of this exciting committee, I invite you to also think about whether you have hit a home run by taking advantage of all of the benefits afforded to you by your status as an AEP®! The paragraphs below outline just a few of the special benefits available to our designated individuals.

The AEP® tri-fold brochure is available to all active designees as a way to communicate the primary message, mission, and commitment of both NAEPC and the designation program – that YOU support the team approach to estate planning. This unique brochure can be downloaded online for electronic use or ordered in a polished, hard-copy format for a nominal fee. Visit "Information for AEP® Designees" to learn more. You won't find a swing and a miss here!

All designees are offered both the member rate and a discount to attend the Annual Conference, but did you know that there is also a very special and private educational opportunity just for you? This year we are grateful to Stephan R. Leimberg, JD, AEP® (Distinguished) for agreeing to present his outstanding program, "Six Magic Steps to Power Marketing," at the 50th Annual Conference on Thursday, November 21st. Full conference information can be found online at http://www.naepc.org/conference. The bases are loaded – are you ready to run home with all of this exciting new information?

Perhaps the grand slam of benefits, the NAEPC Value Partner program offers designees and members of affiliated local estate planning councils alike a dynamic and growing list of software, educational programs, subscriptions and publications, and much more, all at a discounted rate (and some are even complimentary!) If you have not recently done so, please visit our website to take a look at the list today.

Finally, National Estate Planning Awareness Week will take place this October 21st through 27th. Are you prepared to get involved? Our goal is to alert, educate, motivate, and assist the American public to cost-effectively establish and keep their estate and financial plans up to date through the outreach of media, nonprofits, financial service organizations, and financial professionals just like you! You are invited to participate by encouraging your estate planning council to host community–wide programs, by placing estate and financial planning editorial content and checklists onto your website and within your newsletter, social media groups, local newspapers, and with the media, and by talking to friends and colleagues about the exceptionally important event. Please note, during the month of October you are welcome to use, at no cost, any of the estate and financial planning feature articles from www.EstatePlanningAnswers.org as content or research for your content. With your help, we'll be batting 1,000!

Thank you for supporting our mission!

Sincerely,
Eileen Dougherty
