Dear Fellow Designees:

Summer has arrived and while I am hopeful that you are all participating in enjoyable family events, many of our colleagues and friends are suffering from the impact of extreme weather events. Coupled with global headline news, we may be distracted from our planning for our remaining professional education calendar for this year. I want to encourage you to remember the many opportunities remaining for you and your colleagues to start planning your end-of-year educational calendar to include your local council meetings, the Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference, and programs included in the Robert G. Alexander Webinar Series. We're very excited about the November conference and the upcoming webinars and hope you will participate during 2016. Both offer special rates for AEP® designees and the annual conference includes a very special AEP®-only educational session.

If you missed the recent webinar, "Five Critical Best Practices for Collaboration", it's not too late! You can still view the program online. This program expands on the recently-released white paper entitled High-Performance Teaming & Professional Collaboration: A Multi-Disciplinary Team Approach to Estate Planning and is a must-see for all AEP® designees. Watch today!

Finally, I hope that you have taken a moment to review all of the benefits available to you through your membership in your local estate planning council and as an active AEP® designee. If not, now is the time to brush up on the offerings!

Best wishes for a safe, healthy, and happy summer,

Julie Buschman

Educational Programming

Time is limited.
Continuing education credit is required.

NAEPC offers two options to help you gather all of your Accredited Estate Planner® designation CE throughout the course of the year!

The Robert G. Alexander Webinar Series was launched in September 2013 to provide estate planners with accessible, high quality, multi-disciplinary education. Programs are available live and on-demand. See full series information and a list of upcoming programs.

Continuing Education Credit

Continuing education credit will be available at each webinar for Accredited Estate Planner® designees. In addition, a general certificate of completion will be made available for those professionals who feel the program satisfies their continuing education requirements and are able to self-file. It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether their state, discipline, or designation will allow one to self-file for a distance-learning program.  Councils may also file the program in their home state for programs offered in a group setting.

Registration Fees
  • $40 / Accredited Estate Planner® designee
  • $60 / member of an affiliated local estate planning council or at-large member of NAEPC
  • $100 / individual non-member
  • $250 / council meeting or group gathering

The NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference is open to all estate planning professionals and provides:
  • Multi-disciplinary content provided by nationally-known presenters

  • Continuing education credit (up to 15 hours)

  • Networking with estate planners from around the country in a collegial environment

The program includes one day for leaders of estate planning councils (Council Leadership Day, Wednesday, November 16th) and two full days of continuing education for every estate planning professional and discipline (Thursday, November 17th & Friday, November 18th).

Download the Early Bird Brochure!

AEP® designees can take advantage of an additional $50 discount on the registration fee and also have access to a very special private session while attending! This year we are excited to offer "Fearless Public Speaking for Estate Planners," an Interactive Discussion with Conrad Teitell, LL.B., LL.M., AEP® (Distinguished).

Come see what all of the fuss is about, and what nearly 200 active designees already know—the NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Conference is the place to be for networking and education!

Registration is open! For more information and to register, visit www.NAEPC.org/conference.
