Message from the Chairperson
Julie A. Buschman, CPA, AEP®
Bessemer Trust Company, N.A.
Dear Fellow Designees:
Happy National Estate Planning Awareness Week! This message reaches you at
the start of an annual acknowledgment that over half of Americans do not have a
current estate plan in place, and a nationwide effort to combat this challenge.
National Estate Planning Awareness Week was adopted in 2008 to help the public
understand what estate planning is and why it is such a vital component of
financial wellness. See a
full copy of
the resolution. Please, as you are talking with clients this week; consider
talking about National Estate Planning Awareness Week and sharing with them the
many reasons to either create an estate plan or bring a dated plan current.
The 53rd Annual NAEPC Advanced
Estate Planning Strategies Conference will be here in just about a month!
It's not too late to register for the November 16-18, 2016 conference in
Arizona. Please consider attending the event where Accredited Estate Planner®
designees and council members will be gathered together to learn from the most
prominent speakers in the profession. As an active designee you can take
advantage of a $50 discount—register today!
Finally, we have just two webinars left in the 2016 season and I hope you
will attend them! For more information, please visit the "educational
opportunities" section of this newsletter.
I hope to see you in Arizona!
