Thomas F. Commito,

Thomas F. Commito has 28 years experience in advanced sales, life insurance
products and life insurance marketing and is a Senior Tax Advisor in Lincoln
Financial Distributors' advanced sales channel. He has managed traditional
product line at National Life of Vermont.
Mr.
Commito is a graduate of Cornell University (BA), Boston College Law School
(J.D., cum laude) and Boston University Law School (LL.M. – Taxation). He has
his NASD Series 7 and is Series 24 licensed and is currently admitted to
practice law in Vermont and Massachusetts.
Since 2001 (including 2006), Mr. Commito has written annually the "Life
Insurance Section" for NYU Review of Employee Benefits and Executive
Compensation published by Lexis / Nexis – Matthew Bender. He has authored
two books including: Working with FLPs and LLCs: A Practitioners Guide,
(2nd Edition) and Comprehensive Buy-Sell Agreements, both
published by the National Underwriter Company. Articles include over 100
publications in journals such as: Journal of American Society of Financial
Society Professionals; Life Insurance Selling; Brokers World; Senior Golfer;
Climber; Estate Planners Quarterly; Trusts & Estates; Estate Planning; and
Anthology: 100 Years of Alpinism in the United States. Mr. Commito has
written a column – Accounting and Taxation in Journal of Financial Service
Professionals, served as an assistant editor for the American Alpine
Journal (premier journal of mountaineering in the world), and served as an
associate editor for the Journal of Financial Service Professionals.
He
has been a speaker at the following: Platform Speaker at the 2006 International
Forum, three MDRTs, five Forums of Society of FSP, two International Meetings of
CFP, Top of the Table, 2002 International Forum, three ALLU Meetings, 20 LIMRA
Advanced Sale Forums (with Steve Leimberg), and two National Estate Planning
Council Meetings.
