Virginia F. Coleman
Ropes & Gray LLPVirginia F. Coleman is a
partner in the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray LLP,
specializing in estate planning and fiduciary income taxation.
She graduated from Radcliffe College (magna cum laude and Phi
Beta Kappa), and from Harvard Law School (cum laude). She is a
Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a
member of its Fiduciary Income Tax and International Estate
Planning Committees and a member and former chair of its
Employee Benefits in Estate Planning Committee. She is also a
member of the American Law Institute and an academician of the
International Academy of Estate and Trust Law. She is listed
in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in America and has
been listed in prior editions since 1991; she was named Estate
Planner of the Year by the Boston Estate Planning Council in
2002 and in 2008 was one of four recipients of the First
Annual MCLE Scholar Mentor Award awarded by Massachusetts
Continuing Education. She has frequently lectured on estate
planning topics both
locally and nationally. |
