John R. Price
University of Washington School of LawJohn R.
Price is a graduate of the University of Florida and the New
York University School of Law where he was a Root-Tilden
Fellow, an editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order
of the Coif. He is Professor of Law Emeritus and Dean Emeritus
of the University of Washington School of Law where he was a
member of the faculty in 1969-1997 and Dean in 1982-1980. He
is a member of the bars of Washington and California
(inactive) and from 1976-2004 was Of Counsel to Perkins Coie,
LLP, Seattle, Washington. Professor Price has been a Visiting
Professor at the University of Florida (1989) and the
University of Michigan (1982), and an Adjunct Professor in the
University of Miami Graduate Program in Estate Planning (1994,
2003, 2004). In 1995 Professor Price was Christensen Visiting
Fellow, St. Catherine's College, Oxford.
Professor Price is the author of Contemporary Estate
Planning (1982, 1992, and 2000) and co-author, with Sam
Donaldson, of Price on Contemporary Estate Planning
(2006-2011). He is the author of a BNA portfolio, "Conflicts,
Confidentiality, and Other Ethical Considerations in Estate
Planning" and co-author of a portfolio on "Community
Property." He was the Reporter for, and the principal author
of, the 1993 and 1995 editions of the ACTEC Commentaries on
the Model Rules of Professional Conduct. Professor Price is a
fellow and former Regent of the American College of Trust and
Estate Counsel, a member of the American Law Institute, a Life
Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and an Emeritus member
of the Advisory Committee for the Heckerling Institute. |
