Miles W. McNally
Posthumous

Miles W. McNally was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated valedictorian from Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota with graduate work in mathematics at the University of Edinburgh. During World War II, Mr. McNally served as a first lieutenant in the 89th Infantry in General George Patton's 3rd Army. After the war, he began his career doing what he loved best: selling insurance, helping families and small businesses, and solving problems with his unique blend of creativity, dedication, and mathematics. He was a trusted financial advisor to many companies, individuals, and non-profit organizations during his 50-plus years as an insurance agent with Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was also the founder of McNally, Dunnavan and Lund, Inc.

Throughout his career and life, Mr. McNally was involved in service to his community and the nation. He served as president of the Society of Financial Service Professionals from 1970 - 71 and as president of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation. He was a longtime board member of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital and the Sister Kenny Institute. Mr. McNally also served as a deacon, elder and trustee of the Westminster Presbyterian Church where he was a member for over 50 years. To assist in his efforts on behalf of philanthropic organizations, he co-authored the book "Planned Endowment Gifts."
