The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) is a
national organization of professional estate planners and affiliated Estate
Planning Councils focused on establishing and monitoring the highest
professional and educational standards. NAEPC fosters public awareness of the
quality services rendered by professionals who meet these standards. NAEPC
builds a team approach involving cross-professional disciplines to better serve
the public’s need in estate planning. See our mission
statement.
One of the primary beliefs of the NAEPC is that estate planning is a process
that must be completed by a qualified TEAM of professionals. We hope that you
will take some time to review the information found within our site and search
for an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) or Estate Planning Law Specialist
(EPLS) designation holder in your area. These practitioners have taken steps to
go “above and beyond” the requirements of their primary discipline to attain a
professional designation that is backed by professional continuing education,
ethics, membership and maintenance requirements
on a yearly basis. If you don’t find the type of professional you are looking
for, we recommend contacting one of the people you see listed for a referral.
