Message from the Chairperson

Hawthorn - PNC Family Wealth
Philadelphia, PA
Dear Fellow AEP® Designees:
As with all year-end issues of the AEP® Alert, I would like to share with you
several of the highlights from our exciting year!
What is more exciting than the 51st Annual Conference, which wrapped up on
Friday, November 7th in San Antonio? Nothing! As in past years, we offered all
designees in attendance an opportunity to attend a very special private session,
our 4th annual, and were thrilled to welcome Professor Gerry W. Beyer, JD,
LL.M., JSD, AEP® (Distinguished) Nominee who presented "Estate Planning for
Digital Assets." We know that this is quite the "hot topic" in estate planning
at the moment so the outline has been provided within this newsletter's
"Technical Corner." On behalf of our entire board, I would like to invite you to
attend our 52nd Annual Conference, which will be held from November 18 - 20,
2015 in Amelia Island, Florida. More information about this exciting event will
be available very soon! The Annual Conference is quite a bargain and fulfills an
entire year of the continuing education requirement to maintain your AEP®
designation, please consider placing the dates on your calendar for next year!
Our newest benefit, available only to active designees, is the Forefield
Advisor program. To date we have offered a live training at the Annual
Conference, four webinar training sessions, and more are expected during 2015.
If you have not already logged in, I encourage you to do so soon! The program
offers some of our disciplines continuing education credit, and provides
everyone with fantastic tools that are just perfect for your clients. You can
learn more about the Forefield offering within this
newsletter.
Finally, please watch your mailbox for the 2015 dues and recertification
documents, which will be sent very early in January and are due on or before
April 24, 2015. We appreciate your continued commitment to the designation
program and the team concept of estate planning.
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and fruitful 2015.
