Message from the Chairperson
Julie A. Buschman, CPA, AEP®
Bessemer Trust Company, N.A.
Dear Fellow Designees:
I am so excited to have assumed the role of chair of the AEP® Designation
Committee on December 1, 2016! As this adventure began, I took some time to
review the many benefits that are available to active AEP® designees and estate
planning council members. I hope you will do the same before we move too far
into the new year! A great deal of information is contained within this
newsletter and much more can be found on our
website. Of course, our national office is always available for questions as
well!
If you have not already done so, please take a moment to either download the
new NAEPC mobile phone app or to update your current version, for
iPhone
users or
Android users. The app provides a great way to stay connected to other
designees and councils while on-the-go, please make sure you are connected!
Please note that the yearly dues and recertification documents have been
mailed and are requested back by Friday, April 22, 2016. Those who return a hard
copy are asked to take special care to return both sides of the document, along
with payment. Online renewal is also available after logging in to the national
website.
Should you have comments or ideas throughout the year, please be sure to
share them with me. Your input is valued and respected. Your referrals are also
appreciated! Please share information about the designation program with
qualified candidates through the year.
The Technical Corner
The very core of NAEPC's mission is the multi-disciplinary team approach to
estate planning, and belief that this method best serves the client. It is in
this spirit that the release of a new white paper on the topic is announced! "
High-Performance Teaming &
Professional Collaboration: A Multi-Disciplinary Team Approach to Estate
Planning and an accompanying Facilitator Guide
After reading, please share your comments within the
AEP® LinkedIn Group. You
are also welcome to share the white paper with colleagues!
Are you interested in having an original piece included in the Technical
Corner? If so, please contact section editor, John T. Midgett, at
john.midgett@mpapc.com.

Why not let NAEPC help fill your educational calendar and satisfy over a year
of the Accredited Estate Planner® designation CE requirement during 2016? Please
consider attending both the
Annual NAEPC Advanced
Estate Planning Strategies Conference and monthly webinars offered as a part
of the Robert G. Alexander Webinar Series.
