Message from the Chairperson
Julie A. Buschman, CPA, AEP®
Bessemer Trust Company, N.A.
Dear Fellow Designees:
I hope you are having a wonderful summer! As thoughts shift toward fall and its
splendor, our attention at NAEPC turns to the upcoming
Annual NAEPC Estate Planning
Strategies Conference, the conference of choice for estate planning
professionals! I'm often asked what makes this event so very special. First, the
conference is built by and for estate planners of all disciplines and attended
by the same. This provides an exceptional opportunity to obtain continuing
education credit while surrounded by multi-disciplinary peers, who are often
AEP® designees themselves. The conference also provides an exclusive session
just for active AEP® designees each year. This year we are grateful to welcome
Conrad Teitell, LL.B., LL.M., AEP® (Distinguished) who will lead a dialogue on
"Fearless Public Speaking for Estate Planners." We are also very excited to be
hosting an information session this year that will allow those who wish to learn
more about the AEP® designation to do so from the experts at NAEPC! If you
haven't joined us in the past, please consider doing so this November 16-18 in
Arizona—you'll be glad you did!
For those of you who use the Forefield benefit, I am
very pleased to announce that we are extending the availability of the program
through August 31, 2017! For those who have not logged in and explored the
service, please make some time to do so soon! Our service will soon be adding
new features, watch your email for an announcement.
Finally, you will soon be receiving a complimentary copy of the
recently-released article from the May issue of Trusts & Estates magazine
entitled "High Performance Teaming and Professional Collaboration". Please be
sure to take a look, and we appreciate your sharing it with colleagues.
I look forward to spending time with you in November!
