Dear Fellow Designees:

Happy New Year and thank you for reading the first issue of the AEP Alert of 2017! As we move swiftly into the new year, I am excited to report that the AEP® Designation Committee is concentrating on several special projects, including a strong focus on adding new teaming resources and benefits just for AEP® designees. You can expect to hear more about this work in the months to come. Your feedback is also welcome. If there is a "must have" benefit you would like to have access to, please share information about it via email to admin@naepc.org. All suggestions will be reviewed by the committee.

I'm certain that most of you, like me, are in the midst of planning your yearly continuing education calendar. I hope that you will include the 54th Annual NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference in your plan. The program provides two full days of continuing education credit and will satisfy one entire year of your AEP® CE requirement—all in jazzy New Orleans! We hope you will be with us this year to celebrate Excellence in Estate Planning with colleagues and friends. Registration will be open in April and AEP® designees always have access to a special discount that can be combined with other discounts and the member rate. The conference really is the best value among estate planning programs!

Finally, The NAEPC Journal of Estate and Tax Planning is seeking original articles written especially for our readership and inquiries and submissions from AEP® designees receive priority consideration. Those who are interested in contributing should email Susan P. Rounds, JD, CPA, LL.M. (taxation), AEP®, TEP, Journal Editor, at editor@naepcjournal.org.

Best wishes,

Julie Buschman

NAEPC Conference You have already made NAEPC your association of choice and gone the extra mile to obtain the Accredited Estate Planner® designation...why not make the Annual NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference your yearly conference of choice?

The 54th Annual NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference with Pre-Conference Sessions for Council Leaders is scheduled from November 15-17, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It's never too early to plan to attend!
