NAEPC Response to COVID-19
Dear Members, Sponsors & Friends:
NAEPC continues to carefully monitor guidance about the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The board of directors, in cooperation with our staff team, is following appropriate state and national guidance with regard to managing business events. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the association's members, councils, sponsors, and friends during this time of uncertainty.
Our national office is open with limited staffing and the remainder of the team is working from home with full capabilities. We remain committed to exceptional member service and ask for your patience with what may be minor delays with replies to both email and telephone messages.
NATIONAL IN-PERSON EVENTS
The health and safety of in-person event attendees, members, sponsors, and guests is of utmost importance and is of significant concern to the association’s leadership.
58th Annual NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference
The board of directors has evaluated our ability to provide you with a safe and healthy environment while remaining mindful of the regularly-changing guidance from various state and national governing bodies, and, of course, the ongoing economic impact to our members, presenters and sponsors. We have made a formal decision to cancel the in–person annual conference scheduled for Las Vegas in November and appreciate your allowing us the time to approach this decision with the utmost of care. While we are all disappointed, we truly believe the cancellation is in the best interest of all involved parties.
We will be hosting our second virtual conference from November 2-4, 2021 from approximately 11:00 am ET – 6:00 pm ET each day. In addition to the educational sessions, the program will feature several signature events, including the association’s annual meeting, presentation of the Hartman Axley Lifetime Service Award, and the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The program will provide a true “conference experience,” complete with an exhibit hall, sponsors and excellent presenters. We will share regular updates within the various newsletters of NAEPC and you are always welcome to contact the national office for more information.
Regional Leadership Events
Regional Council Leadership Day programs, which have historically taken place in June, will take place virtually.
SERVICE TO ESTATE PLANNING COUNCILS
Affiliated local estate planning councils are encouraged to contact NAEPC at any time for guidance with regard to hosting events, for sample text related to either member communication or holding events, for resources with regard to hosting distance-based programming in place of in-person events, or to simply discuss council operations. The success of our affiliated local councils is important to us so please reach out at any time.
